Course Summary
Building fire safety depends on more than the availability of extinguishers and alarm systems. It requires responsible personnel to understand how fire protection systems work, how they should be inspected and maintained and how active and passive measures work together to protect people, property and operations.
This two day technical course is designed for personnel responsible for building fire safety, facilities, maintenance and workplace compliance.
The course explains how fires develop, how relevant Malaysian building fire safety requirements are applied and how active and passive fire protection systems are reviewed, inspected and maintained.
Participants learn to distinguish between active and passive protection, identify principal fire protection components, understand inspection and maintenance requirements and read basic fire safety drawings.
