Course Summary
Emergency plans are only effective when employees understand their responsibilities and can act in a coordinated manner.
During an emergency, unclear command structures, communication gaps and uncertainty over evacuation, headcount and responder handover can delay an organisation’s response. This two day course helps Emergency Response Team members build the knowledge, practical capability and confidence needed to respond in a more organised manner.
The course covers Emergency Response Team structures, roles and responsibilities, Emergency Response Plans, communication, evacuation, headcount, fire protection equipment awareness, fire drill performance and basic building fire safety inspection.
Participants apply what they learn through equipment practice, role based exercises and a site fire drill, subject to the suitability and approval of the training location.
